FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Who do you treat?

I treat clients across the entirelife-span
Clientele seen:

  • Individuals
  • Children (5-13)
  • Teenagers (13-17)
  • Young adults (18-24)
  • Adults (25-64)
  • Seniors (65+)
  • LGBTQ friendly care
What medications can you prescribe?

I prescribe most mental health medications including antidepressants, anxiolytics (anxiety medications), antipsychotics, mood stabilizers, sleep medications and non-stimulant ADHD medications.

Stimulants cannot be prescribed (e.g. focalin, ritalin, adderall, vyvanse). However, there are non-stimulant options available for ADHD treatment that we can try.

Long-acting injectable antipsychotics can only be prescribed if you already have a facility that administers the injection (e.g. home-health, some pharmacies). Since appointments are only via telehealth, another facility must administer the injection.

How do I schedule an appointment?

You will first book a FREE 15 minute consultation time in the calendar. The purpose of the consultation appointment is to discuss your needs and concerns; and to schedule the initial evaluation appointment if you desire to move forward with me as your medication provider. There is no pressure to make a decision at the consultation appointment. You may also take time to decide and reach out at a later time to make the evaluation appointment. I strive to get patients on the calendar for their initial evaluation appointment within a week of their free 15 minute consultation. Consultation appointments are brief and medication will not be prescribed until the initial evaluation appointment.

Do you see patients who have no insurance?

Yes, I do offer cash sessions available at an affordable rate. $122 for the initial evaluation appointment and $88 per follow up appointment after that.

How often and how long are sessions?

Follow-ups are usually at 1, 2 or 3 month increments depending on patient stability and patient preference. The initial evaluation is up to 1 hour in length and the follow-ups are up to 30 minutes. If you prefer longer follow-up appointments, this can absolutely be arranged. Continuous follow-ups are important to ensure you remain well and that medications are adjusted appropriately and successfully.

Do you see patients for psychotherapy/counseling?

I am not currently accepting counseling only clients due to availability but this is subjected to change.

Can I just directly book the initial evaluation instead of the free 15-minute consultation appointment?

Don’t feel like you need a consultation appointment? No problem. Choose the booking link under your insurance type and you can make your initial 60-minute appointment there.

Note: There is no direct booking option (yet) for 60 minute initial evaluation appointments for OPTUM, OSCAR, UMR, UNITED HEALTH CARE plans- please schedule a 15-minute consult first and we will take care it of from there!
